Over her four-year career, Torrente set school records in the indoor shot put (36'5"), outdoor shot put (36'3") and discus throw (125'4"). As a senior, she was selected Most Valuable Player of both the Women's track team and the volleyball squad as she received the Fordham University Female Athlete of the Year Award. Following graduation, Torrente coached the Fordham University women's volleyball program in 1985.
