John "Jack" Fisher was a two-sports star for Fordham, playing football and baseball
Member of the varsity football squad from 1928-31.
As a three-year member of the baseball team, he was a career .298 hitter with 30 runs scored and 11 doubles. As a junior, he hit .304 over 19 games in 1931, and was named co-captain of the 1932 team with Tip Tobin. In 1932, he tied the single game school record with six hits against Yale and went on to earn Second Team All-East honors.
