Michael Marchiano was one of the most prolific hitters in Fordham baseball history and a 1997 graduate of Fordham College.

Capping his Fordham career as a consensus All-American in 1997, he was named to five different All-America teams. He also named the Atlantic 10 Player of the Year, becoming the first Fordham student-athlete to do so.Â

As a senior he closed out the season with a .493 batting average, which was tops in the NCAA Division I as well as a Fordham record. He also shattered four Fordham single season records and still holds Fordham career records in home runs, runs scored, total bases and batting average. In all, he set 13 school single season or career records.
