Aaron Dougherty, a 1995 graduate of the College of Business Administration, was one of the top defensive players for the football Rams during the 1990's.

A four-year letterman and three-year starter at linebacker, Dougherty was named First Team All-Patriot League in 1992 and 1992 and then capped his career by being named the 1993 Patriot League Defensive Player of the Year while leading the conference in total tackles.

Teaming with Mark Blazejewski at linebacker, the 1992 Patriot League Defensive Player of the Year and a 1999 Hall of Fame inductee, the pair formed one of the best linebacking duos in the Patriot League.
