Hall of Fame
A 1937 graduate of Fordham College and a 1941 graduate of Fordham's School of Law, Victor Del Guercio lettered in two sports for the Maroon, starring for the Rams on the tennis courts as well as the golf links.
Â
A three-year star in golf, Del Guercio co-captained the squad during his junior and senior years. It was as a Fordham netter, though, that he really made his mark. Along with serving as co-captain as a senior, the three-year letter winner was the Rams #2 singles player. In the middle of the 1936 season, Del Guercio was teamed with future Fordham Hall of Famer Ray Walsh as the #1 doubles tandem. The pair would go on to record 15 straight victories.
