Erin Brooks, a 2004 Gabelli School of Business graduate, found success both on the softball field as well as in the classroom, earning Academic All-America® honors twice as well as the Hobbs Family Award as a senior.

Brooks was named Third Team Academic All-America® as a junior in 2003 and then Second Team as a senior the following year. She was also named Academic All-Atlantic 10 in 2003 and 2004.

On the field, Brooks helped the Fordham softball team to its first ever 30-win season in 2003, using her speed to set the Fordham record for runs scored in a season as a junior and she currently is seventh on the Fordham all-time stolen base list (23).

Brooks, a two-year team captain, wrapped up her Fordham career by winning the 2004 Hobbs Family Award as the school’s outstanding female athlete, as well as the 2004 Ben Harter Award, presented to the Gabelli School of Business senior who has made significant academic and athletic contributions during the year.

Brooks started her college athletic career at Cabrini College, where as a sophomore she earned National Fastpitch Coaches Association second-team All-America Division III honors in 2001 before she transferred to Fordham.
