J. Howard Carter played for the Fordham baseball team from 1923-26.
Carter helped the Rams to the 1926 Eastern Championship with a record of 24-3. He batted .361 in 1926, starting all 27 games. He scored 27 runs to go with five doubles, four home runs, and 13 stolen bases.
Carter went on to play a season with the Cincinnati Reds after finishing his time at Fordham.
