Bob Mulvihill gained a reputation as an outstanding defensive player, responsible for covering the opposition's top scoring threat in his three years of varsity basketball at Rose Hill.
Mulvihill started every game for the Rams over his three seasons and enjoyed his best offensive season in 1946-47 when he scored 125 points, good for fifth-best on the team, including a high of 16 in the Rams' win over NYU. The Washington, D.C. native was named Fordham's Athlete of the Year for the 1946-47 season and was labeled as one of the area's most underrated players.
