Hall of Fame
A four-year letter winner with the Fordham volleyball program, Cindy Vojtech, a 2000 graduate of the College of Business Administration, is one of the most academically decorated student-athletes in Fordham history. A three-time CoSIDA Academic All-American®, Vojtech was also named the 1999 Atlantic 10 Student-Athlete of the Year for volleyball. She is the only Fordham student-athlete to earn three straight Academic All-America® honors.
Â
Athletically, Vojtech is Fordham's first ever three-time recipient of the Claire G. Hobbs Award, presented to the Rams' outstanding female student-athlete of the year. She is the school's only 1,000-kill and 1,000-dig performer for volleyball and is the first Ram to record multiple triple-doubles in her career. Fordham's all-time leader in games played (444), matches played (124) and digs (1,016), Vojtech is also tied for first on Fordham's all-time block assist list (215) and she currently sits in fourth place on Fordham's all-time kills list (1,013), fifth in total blocks (239) and ninth in service aces (98).
Â
Following her senior volleyball season, Vojtech joined the women's crew, breaking the Fordham erg score twice shortly after joining the squad in the winter (her 2000 meter school record of 7:08.8 still stands). In the spring, she was a member of Fordham's premier boat, the varsity eight, a boat that quickly became one of the best ever varsity eight shells at Fordham. The 2000 Fordham varsity eight finished second at the Dad Vail, missing the gold medal in a photo finish (this was Fordham's best finish in the varsity eight event at the Dad Vail).
Â
She also received Academic All-American® honors for rowing in her senior year.
