Larry Whyte was the second golfer to be inducted into the Fordham Hall of Fame. He was the top player for the Rams for three seasons, and captured the 1956 Metropolitan Collegiate Individual Championship as a sophomore. He was also a tri-captain of the coach-less team that won the team title that same season defeating Manhattan College in a play-off.
