An All-East running back in 1977, Pierre Davis became the first football player in Fordham history to rush for over 1,000 yards in a single season. A senior tri-captain on the 1977 squad, he held the single season scoring record with 102 points and 17 touchdowns in that season. He was second on the all-time touchdown list with 28. Davis finished the 1977 season with 1,057 yards on 171 carries, for an average of 6.2 yards a carry, and ended his career with 2,691 yards.
