Joseph Andrejco, who first made the headlines with a touchdown jaunt against Southern Methodist in 1941, closed his career on the gridiron in similar style against NYU. He will be long remembered as one of Fordham's all-time backfield greats. Recalling such diverse incidents as the Sugar Bowl victory and Japanese mortars on Okinawa, Joe's college career was interrupted by World War II. Andrejco became an officer in the Marine Corps where he continued to play football.
