A smooth scorer and a strong rebounder, John Brady averaged 15 points and 5 rebounds a game in his three years as a Ram varsity basketball player. He finished his career third on the all-time scoring list with 1,102 points, a total good for 14th place on the current list. In his junior year, Brady averaged 14.7 points per game as a started on the 1957-58 Fordham team that won 16 and lost 9 games and advanced to the second round of the National Invitational Tournament (NIT). As a senior captain, Brady averaged 14.7 points per game and led the Rams to a 17-8 record and helped bring them to their second consecutive NIT Berth.
