As a senior, Pete Weiss' track career peaked; and in record setting form. Though he was a member of the mile relay team which placed first in the prestigious Milrose Games, the highlight of his track career was during the spring season of 1962. In a dual meet against St. John's he set two school records. Weiss ran the 440 in 46.9 seconds, a time he equaled in the IC4A and the 220 in 21.0. During his senior year, he also teamed with John O'Brien, Doug Tynan, and Frank Tomeo in setting the school record in the one mile relay with a time of 3:12.1.
