Jones, who was a four-year letter winner in basketball, is one of the school's all-time leading scorers with 1,422 career points and 911 rebounds. She also ranks among the career leaders in rebounds per game (8.0), career field goals made (570), points per game (12.5), and career field goal percentage (.519). She started her career off being named to the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) All-Rookie team in 1989 and then being named All-MAAC and team Most Valuable Player in 1990. When Fordham moved to the Patriot League in 1991, Jones picked up some Patriot League Academic Honor Roll and Team MVP. In 1992 Jones repeated as First Team All-Conference selection and was named Patriot League Scholar-Athlete of the Year as well as the South Jersey College Player of the year.
