One of the leading scorers in men's basketball history, Paterno scored 1,776 points in his stellar career. As a freshman, Paterno was the MAAC and Metropolitan Rookie of the Year, and was a first team All-MAAC choice in both his junior and senior seasons. Paterno led the Rams in scoring in three of his seasons, while also setting the school record for steals in a game with eight against Seton Hall in 1988.
