During Goodwin's stay at Rose Hill, he helped the Rams soccer program become competitive with some of the Division I teams in the country.
 
A three-time captain of the Rams, Goodwin was also named the team's Most Valuable Player as a sophomore, junior and senior. His senior year was further highlighted when he was named the Metropolitan Soccer Conference's MVP. Goodwin, a three-time All-Met selection, was a solid defensive player and a major reason why the Rams were known as one of the best defensive teams in the east.
