A two-time Patriot League Player of the Year (1991 and 1992), Gallone led the Rams to the 1990 ECAC Championships and on to the 1990 NCAA Championship Tournament. He grated with school records for most career hits (222), career at bats (601) and total bases (354) as well as the Fordham records for runs scored (59) and for most times hit by a pitch in a season (14) and career (42).
 
In 1991 and 1992 Gallone was an ECAC All-Star and NCAA All-Region selection as well as being named First Team All-Patriot League both years. He led the Rams to 1991 and 1992 Patriot League championships and the 1990 MAAC championship. The Rams advanced to the ECAC championships his last three years, winning the ECAC title in 1990 and advancing to the NCAA Midwest Regional.
 
Gallone, who had a .369 career batting average with 35 doubles, 20 triples, 19 homeruns, and 155 RBI capped his career by winning the Vincent T. Lombardi Award in 1992.
