A tri-captain of the 1976 football squad, Dennis DeMeo's name can still be found in the Fordham record books. DeMeo had 529 attempts in his career, a mark that ranked second in school history, and his 2,184 career yards are fifth. He was also tied for third with 27 touchdowns, while his 164 career points is good enough for fourth. A three year starter who led the Rams rushing for two seasons, DeMeo was a two-time Madow Trophy winner, given to the most Valuable Player of the Fordham Homecoming game.
