When he graduated from Fordham in 1971, Eric Dadd had set eleven records playing football for the Rams. When it was still considered a feat for a freshman to make the team at Fordham, Dadd earned a spot on the roster, and though he didn't see much playing time, the 6'2" 220 pound fullback spent the next three seasons in the spotlight. He earned Club All-American honors as a junior when he rushed for 506 yards, scored nine touchdowns, and completed a TD pass. The following season he proved he could play on a higher level, as the University restored the football program to varsity status, and Eric earned little College All-America honors. He tried out with the New England Patriots of the NFL before entering Law School.
