Football quarterback behind the Seven Blocks of Granite line and a three-year letterwinner, Andrew Palau also was a baseball catcher and was team captain in his senior year.
He was the Madow Trophy winner in football in 1935. After playing minor league baseball for three years, he turned to football coaching. He was a Fordham assistant for one season.
On the diamond, he was a career .354 hitter over 48 games, scoring 36 runs with 15 extra-base hits.
