A 2006 Fordham College at Rose Hill graduate, Kate Davis Barrick was the driving force behind the ascension of Fordham softball to national prominence, helping the Rams to their first ever regular season Atlantic 10 title.
 
Barrick played the outfield for three seasons at Fordham from 2004-06, after transferring from Ohio University, starting 169 of the 170 games she appeared in. She helped the Rams to three Atlantic 10 Tournament berths, two Atlantic 10 Championship game appearances (2005 and 2006) and the 2005 Atlantic 10 regular season title.
 
A three-time All-Atlantic 10 selection from 2004-06 (First Team in 2006, 2004 and 2005 when there was only one All-Conference team), Barrick won Atlantic 10 Player of the Year honors in 2005, becoming the first Fordham female athlete to earn A-10 Player of the Year honors.
 
Barrick twice was honored as an NFCA All-Mid-Atlantic Region selection, being named to the Second Team in 2004 and to the First Team in 2005, and was also a 2005 ECAC All-Star.
 
When she graduated in 2006, Barrick held the school career records for home runs (hitting 35 to shatter the previous record of nine), RBI, total bases and slugging percentage, a record that still stands today. She still ranks in the top five at Fordham in RBI, runs, batting average, doubles, home runs, total bases, and slugging percentage.
 
In 2004, Barrick set the Fordham single season mark with 13 home runs and then surpassed that in 2005 with 14, marks that were also Atlantic 10 single season records. She also set single season school records for total bases, slugging percentage and hits.
