At Fordham's 1976 Block F Awards Dinner, he was awarded the Terence J. O'Donnell Memorial Award, given to the student-athlete, who best exemplifies sportsmanship, loyalty, dedication, and self-discipline.

Hill finished out his Fordham playing day by setting a school record for carer ERA (2.28).  Upon graduation, he played two years of minor league baseball with the Montreal Expos organization.
