Hall of Fame
A 1981 graduate of Fordham College, Vincent Forte established himself as one of the top middle distance runners at Fordham in the late 1970's and early 1980's.
Forte is a two-time school record holder, setting school marks in both the 500 meters and the 600 yards, with the 600 yards record of 1:10.4. His personal bests in the 400 (47.4 seconds), the 500 (1:03.9), the 600 (1:10.4) and the 800 (1:49.8) are still ranked among the all-time best times in Fordham track history. Forte was a six-time IC4A Qualifier as well as a six-time Metropolitan Conference scorer. For the past 15 years, Forte has served as an assistant track coach at Fordham for the past 17 years and has coached numerous IC4A scorers and MET Champions.
He was awarded an Honorary Letter at 1994 Block "F" Dinner and received the Jack Coffey Award for his dedication and service to Fordham Athletics.
