For over 35 years, Mert Benikoff has been an invaluable asset to Fordham Athletics. Through his tireless work and research, Mert has provided records and results for Fordham's athletic teams dating as far back as 1859. Among his discoveries are the facts that the Rams played the first nine-man college baseball game, and have also played baseball, longer than any other school.
A Bronx native and CCNY graduate, Mert has been an important link between the Fordham Athletics of today and of yesteryear. All of his work has been strictly voluntary.
