A pre-med student while at Rose Hill, Cedric Priebe was a two-time captain of the squash team and served as captain of the tennis club his senior year. As a senior, Priebe was the number one player on both teams.

In 1951, Fordham enjoyed its first full season of intercollegiate competition in squash playing schools like Williams, Army, Yale, MIT, Stevens Institute and Princeton. Though the sport was in its beginning stages at Rose Hill, players like Priebe are responsible for giving squash roots at Fordham.
