Joseph "Joe" Nowicki was a four-year member of the cross country and track teams at Fordham.

Nowicki was the 1943 NCAA champion and All-American selection in the 880-yard run in a time of 1:54.2.  He also took home the IC4A championship in that event before deploying for armed forces duty.
