John "Tip" Tobin was a baseball star at Fordham.
He played from 1929-32, serving as the baseball team co-captain in 1932. He was a career . 338 hitter with 33 runs scored and 14 extra-base hits.Â
In 1932, he batted .400 with 18 runs scored and six home runs and was named First Team All-East.
