Lugris was a two-time MVP, All-MAAC, and All-MET selection and was named the program's best sweeper for the 1980's. He was also a three-time All Tri-State choice, and the Tri-State Defender of the Year in 1982. Lugris played professional soccer and was a member of the Puerto Rican World Cup qualifying team.
