Friday: Watch | Live Stats
Saturday: Watch | Live Stats

Bronx, N.Y. – The Fordham volleyball team (6-14, 3-6 A-10) returns to the Bronx for the first two of six consecutive home matches. First up is reigning conference champions, Dayton (18-5, 11-0), on Friday at 6 p.m. for the team's Breast Cancer Awareness match. On Saturday at 6 p.m., the Rams will welcome Duquesne (9-13, 4-7) to the Rose Hill Gym. Both matches will be streamed on ESPN+, which fans can find via the links above.

Breast Cancer Awareness
The Rams encourage fans to wear pink on Friday and to help the team reach their donation goal with the American Cancer Society. Fans who wish to donate can do so HERE, and will be able to make donations before, during, and after the match on Friday evening at a table run by the team near the entrance of the gym. At the table, fans can also send letters of encouragement and support to survivors with Hope Lodge NYC, of which you can read more about and donate to also here.

Pride Match
Next Friday, November 5th against Saint Louis, we'll be supporting the LGBTQ+ communities. Fans are encouraged to wear bright, prideful colors! We'll be raising money to support Destination Tomorrow, the Bronx's LGBTQ+ center, which you can support anytime HERE or around our match at the Rose Hill Gym. Fans will also have the opportunity to write on the Wall of hope for words of encouragement to the community.

Last Time Out
The Rams split matches at the Georges, falling to George Mason in four sets but sweeping George Washington the next day. Read about the results here and here.

Where They Rank
The Rams find themselves in the top half of every statistical category within the Atlantic 10 – 4th in hitting percentage (.194), 5th in kills per set (12.11), and 5th in blocks per set (2.01) to name just three.

At the individual level, several Rams are near the top of their respective categories. Chloe Pejouan would lead the league in blocks per set if she met the proper requirements, averaging 1.58 over her 36 frames. Izzy Fichtel is 10th in the league with 0.89. Whitley Moody is third in both kills per set (3.62) and points per set (4.05), while Mallory Lipski is third with 4.67 digs per set and Megan Brzozowski is third with 8.90 assists per set. Fordham has two players in the top-10 for hit percentage – Fichtel in fourth at .305 and Aria De La Rosa tied for ninth at .277.

Nationally, Lipski is 56th in digs per set and 68th with 350 total digs. Moody is 45th in attacks per set (11.11), 72nd in total attacks (822), and 113th in kills per set. Brzozowski is 137th in assists per set.

As a team, the Rams' 2.01 blocks per set would be seventh-highest all-time, while their collective .194 hit percentage ranks solo sixth.

Brzozowski Enters All-Time Top-10 in Assists
As you could guess by the title, junior setter Megan Brzozowski moved into 10th all-time, passing Mary Diamantidis ('10), several weeks ago against George Mason. Brzozowski is up to 1,595 with the Rams and has her sights set on ninth – Abigail Konovodoff's 1,647.

Lipski Named A-10 Defensive Player of the Week
The Louisville native earned her first piece of league hardware by averaging nearly six digs per set over eight frames of the Rose Hill Classic. Read all about it here.

Moody Named A-10 Player of the Week
Moody, the reigning Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Year and a three-time Rookie of the Week in the Spring, earned her first Player of the Week award and Fordham's first since 2017 several weeks ago. Read all about her weekend here.

Series Histories
Dayton – A perennial power in the A-10 and, sometimes, nationally, the Flyers have unsurprisingly dominated the all-time series against the Rams, 41-1, with Fordham's lone victory coming in 1997 in five sets in the Bronx. Most recently, the Rams took a set off the Flyers but ultimately fell in Ohio, which you can read about here.

Duquesne – The Dukes lead the series, 38-5, since the Rams joined the A-10 in 1995. Fordham is 3-17 in the Bronx, most recently winning in four sets at home in 2019. Earlier this season, the Rams fell in four on the road to the Dukes, which you can read about here.

Atlantic 10 Preseason Poll
As a result of their effort in the spring, the Rams were predicted by the league's head coaches to repeat their fourth-place finish in the annual preseason poll, the highest Fordham has ever finished in it, besting the previous high of sixth in 2009.

VB Earns AVCA Team Academic Award
For the second straight year and third time in the last four, the Rams earned the USMC/AVCA Team Academic award for programs with a cumulative 3.3 GPA or higher.

Up Next
The Rams host Saint Louis, VCU, and Davidson from Friday to Sunday, November 5th through 7th, beginning with the Billikens on Friday at 6 p.m.
