Fairfax, Va. – (May 12, 2024) – The 2024 ECAC/IC4A Outdoor Track & Field Championship concluded on Sunday at George Mason Stadium in Fairfax, Virginia. Fordham finished 11
th out of 38 scoring teams in the women's competition, scoring 30.5 points, with the men in 14
th out of 36 scoring teams at 20 points.
The women's team finished tied for their best showing ever at the ECAC Outdoor Championship, while the 30.5 points is the most the Rams have ever scored at ECACs.
A good portion of those points came from the women's 4x100 relay, as
Dillyn Green,
Skylar Harris,
Caroline Fallona, and
Kyla Hill won the event in a season-best time of 46.59 seconds.
The Rams' other relays also scored for the women. The 4x800 relay team of
Mary Kathryn Underwood,
Brenna Sears,
Megan McCann, and
Alexandra Thomas were fifth in 9:18.78, while the 4x400 relay of
Michele Daye, Green,
Anna Maria Ivits, and
Alexandra Williams were also fifth in 3:50.93.
Individually, Hill capped her exceptional Fordham career in the 200-meter dash, scoring fourth in 24.57 seconds, while
Kylie Ritz was 16
th in the 400-meter hurdles in 1:04.99.
On the men's side, the 4x800 relay team grabbed the bronze medal, as
John Corrigan,
Rodolfo Sanchez,
Yariv Simhony, and
Colin Flood were third in a season-best time of 7:31.20, while the 4x400 relay squad of
Dakota Strain,
Matthew Nurse,
Safo Kirton, and
Sam Freeman placed ninth in 3:18.25.
