Fairfax, Va. – (May 4, 2025) – The Fordham women's track & field team tied for 11th place at the 2025 Atlantic 10 Outdoor Track & Field Championship, held at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia. The Rams scored 29 points in the championship and finished tied with Saint Louis.
Day two of the Atlantic 10 Championship started with the event that ended night one – the 10,000-meter. With the event stopped due to weather on Saturday night, the event was re-started in full. Fordham's
Katarina Birimac finished what she started on Saturday, winning the event in a time of 34:48.93. She became the second Ram to win the 10,000-meters, joining Brigid Moriarty in 2010. Joining Birimac in the scoring column was teammate
Sarah Zahaykevich, who scored eighth overall in 36:27.11.
Adding to the Rams' scoring on the track,
Alexandra Williams just missed the podium in the 400-meter dash, taking fourth overall with a time of 55.60 seconds. The 4x800 relay team of
Megan McCann,
Meredith Gotzman,
Lauren Raimy, and
Brenna Sears also scored, taking eighth in 9:09.56.

In other relay action, the 4x100 relay group of
Dillyn Green,
Caroline Fallona,
Ileana Chlorou, and
Kylie Ritz finished ninth in 48.13 seconds, while the 4x400 relay team of
Sara Labor, Green,
Anna Maria Ivits, and Williams were tenth in 3:52.58.
In the field events,
Zoe Arakelian brought home a second medal for the Rams. She earned Second Team All-Atlantic 10 honors by taking the silver medal in the high jump, clearing a career-best 5' 7". The Rams also competed in the discus throw, shot put, and triple jump.
Sarah Cooley was 21
st in the discus throw at 106' 7", while
Tanicha Saintigene was the top performer in the shot put with a distance of 40' 2 ¼". Then in the triple jump, Alexandra Mantenovic placed 12
th with a mark of 36' 11".
Lastly,
Leia Ruvo completed her run in the heptathlon, finishing tenth overall with a score of 4,255 points. She ended up fifth in both the long jump (17' 10 ¼") and 800-meter run (2:29.97), while being eighth in the javelin throw (86' 7").
The Rams will now prepare for the ECAC Championship, May 17-18, which is back in Fairfax, Virginia at George Mason University.
