Track & Field Finishes Competition at ECAC/IC4A Championship

Fordham Women Have Highest Team Finish in Seventh; Men Place 13th

Piscataway, N.J. – (April 19, 2026) – The Fordham track & field team completed competition at the 2026 ECAC/IC4A Outdoor Track & Field Championships, held at Rutgers University in Piscataway, New Jersey.

WOMEN'S DAY 2 HIGHLIGHTS

Fordham finished seventh in the team standings with 51.5 points, setting a new team-best finish at the ECAC Championship, as well as a new high point total.
Leia Ruvo completed competition in the women's heptathlon, scoring a career-best 4,711 points, after finishing second in the javelin throw (112' 1") and the 800-meter run (2:31.44) and fifth in the long jump (17' 3 ½").
Kylie Ritz netted fourth place in the finals of the 100-meter hurdles, clocking in at 14.39 seconds.
The Rams also scored in the 4x400 relay as Dillyn Green, Alondra Baez, Kathleen Keefe, and AnnaMaria Ivits placed sixth in 4:10.08.
Nicole Lytle placed tenth in the 400-meter hurdles in 1:05.90, while Alexandra Williams was 11^th in the 200-meter dash in 25.28 seconds.
Jodie Pierce also won the open 800-meter run in 2:16.08 with Brenna Sears in second at 2:17.38.

MEN'S DAY 2 HIGHLIGHTS

Fordham ended up in 13^th place in the team standings with 29 points.
George Pomer scored fourth as he finished competition in the men's decathlon with a career-best 5,867 points.Over the final five events, he was first in the javelin throw (163' 7) and 1,500 meters (4:45.66), fourth in the pole vault (11' 7 ¾") and fifth in the 110-meter hurdles (16.10) and discus throw (85' 5").
Sam Freeman earned a second place finish in the 200-meter dash, clocking in at 21.76 seconds.
Patrick Torres was 18^th in the triple jump, marking a distance of 42' ½".
Matthew Febles was second in the open 800-meter run in 2:00.56.

The Fordham Rams will next be in action on April 24-25 at the annual Penn Relays in Philadelphia.
