Track & Field Takes Part in Rutgers Relays

Eric Schleif Takes Second in 1,500 Meter Run

Piscataway, N.J. – (April 11, 2026) – The Fordham track & field team made its way to Piscataway, New Jersey for this year's Rutgers Relays, where the women finished 14th in the team standings with the men in 19th.
 
MEN'S HIGHLIGHTS
  • Fordham scored nine points for the team standings, netting points in two events.
  • Eric Schleif led the way with a second place finish in the 1,500 meters, clocking in with a personal-best time of 3:56.10.
  • The Rams also scored in the 4x400 relay, as Darren Croke, Ronan Donnelly, Trevor Rinn, and Yariv Simhony placed eighth in 3:27.12.
  • Noah Rubenstein had notable performances in the throwing events, taking tenth in the discus throw (140' 8"), 13th in the shot put (44' 2"), and 16th in the hammer throw (111' 5").
  • Luke Cramer finished 11th in the triple jump with a mark of 42' 9 ½".
  • Kevein Callaghan was also 11th in the 400-meter dash in 49.32 seconds, followed by Nelson Lindsay in 12th at 49.48 seconds.
  • Will Spierdowis was also the top Ram in the 800-meter run, placing 14th in 1:57.83.
 
WOMEN'S HIGHLIGHTS
  • Fordham scored 14 points for the team standings, netting points in four events.
  • The 4x200 relay had the Rams' best finish, as Ileana Chlorou, Michaela Gier, Caroline Fallona, and Katelin Cruikshank scored second in 1:51.06.
  • In the 4x400 relay, the Rams' team of Alondra Baez, Kathleen Keefe, AnnaMaria Ivits, and Sophia Oliva finished seventh in 4:12.24.
  • Ciara McGroary scored sixth in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 12:07.24.
  • Sarah Cooley ended up eighth in the javelin throw with a distance of 126' 11", while also finishing 14th in the shot put (36' 5") and 23rd in the hammer throw (107' 0").
  • Fordham pole vaulters Tomara Seid and Gier just missed scoring, taking ninth and tenth place respectively by clearing 10' 1 ¼".
  • In addition to her run on the 4x400 relay, Keefe was 17th in the 800-meter run at 2:19.06.
  • On top of running in the 4x200 relay, Cruikshank was 16th in both the 100-meter hurdles (16.25) and the high jump (5' 1").
 
 
WHAT'S NEXT
  • The Rams are on double duty next weekend, taking part in the Mark Young Invitational at Yale on April 18th, as well as the 2026 ECAC/IC4A Championship on April 18-19 at Rutgers.
