New York, N.Y. – (February 11, 2024) – The Fordham track & field team's busy weekend concluded on Sunday afternoon at the 116
th Millrose Games, hosted at the Nike Track & Field Center at the Armory in New York.
The Rams competed in two events: the Mary Darling Women's College 4x400 relay and the Tom Courtney Men's College 4x400 relay.
In the Mary Darling relay, Fordham's team of
Dillyn Green,
Alexandra Williams,
Michele Daye, and
Kyla Hill finished second out of five teams in a season-best time of 3:48.40, behind only St. John's. The Red Storm clocked in at 3:45.72. The Rams finished ahead of teams from UAlbany, NJIT, and Monroe.
For the Tom Courtney relay, named in honor of the late Olympic gold medalist and Fordham Athletics Hall of Famer, the Rams' team of
Kevin Callaghan,
Dakota Strain,
Erik Brown, and
Sam Freeman also finished second out of six teams in 3:19.71. The only team ahead of Fordham was Coppin State at 3:17.18, while pacing out Monroe, Manhattan, NJIT, and UAlbany.
Next up on the schedule for the Rams is the Terrier DMR Challenge on Friday, February 16
th in Boston, Massachusetts.
