Philadelphia, Pa. – The Fordham University men's and women's outdoor track and field squads opened competition at the Penn Relays on Thursday where
Brianna Tevnan placed 22nd in the 3000m steeplechase and the women's 4x400 relay was 35th.

Aidan Moroz got things started for the Rams by winning their heat in a season-best time of 3:53.97. Fordham easily defeated Stony Brook in the heat, finishing almost five seconds ahead of the Seawolves.

In individual competition,
Brianna Tevnan placed 22nd overall, 13th in her heat, in the college 3000m steeplechase championship in a time of 11:07.41, while
Mike Turi was 27
th overall, 22
nd in his heat, in the Olympic Development 5000m in 15:10.42.

The Rams continue competition at the Penn Relays on Friday where the men's distance medley relay will run.
