Track Competes at Colonial Relays

Williamsburg, Va. – For the second straight week the Fordham men's and women's outdoor track and field teams traveled to Virginia, this week to participate in the 2016 Colonials Relays at the College of William and Mary.
 
Louis Santelli led the Rams on day two, winning the 800m university race in an IC4A qualifying time of 1:53.77.
 
On the women's side, Merissa Wright and Kate McCormack were the top finishers with Wright, taking fourth in the university 800m (2:15.47) and McCormack fourth in the 1500m (4:43.14).

Shanna Heaney – 26th in championship 800m (2:15.78)
Stephanie Leo – 35th in the 1500m (4:55.03)
Danielle Rowe – 37th in the championship 800m (2:18.65)
Mary Kate Kenny – 59^th in the 200m (25.99)

The Rams began competition at the invitational on Thursday as Nik O'Brien placed fourth in the 3000m in a time of 8:38.46 while Jake Duckworth was right behind him in sixth place (8:40.15).

On the women's side on day one, Rachel Picard placed 32^nd in the 3000m (10:45.31) while Laurel Fisher was 33^rd (10:46.28), Josephine Jacob-Dolan was 42nd (10:54.45) and Brianne Roche 44th (10:56.06).
 
The Rams wrap up the Colonial Relays on Saturday.
