The Fordham Men's Cross Country team has ascended three spots from #15 to #12 in the latest USTFCCCA NCAA Division I Regional Cross Country Rankings, specifically in the Northeast Region. The boost comes after a 10
th-place finish at this past weekend's Coast-to-Coast Battle in Beantown held at Franklin Park in Boston, Mass.
Graduate runner
Jonathan Annelli once
again finished at the forefront of his peers with a 36
th-place time of 24:42.9, the best finish of a Fordham runner this season. In fact, six of the team's times this weekend rank first through sixth through three competitions.
Earlier this season, Annelli won the individual title at the
35th annual Fordham Fiasco and sophomore
Louis Santelli placed fourth overall at the
LIU Post Invitational.
Head Coach
Tom Dewey's squad took home the Fiasco's team title and finished runner-up at LIU Post in addition to this past week's top-10 finish among 21 Division I programs.
Cross Country is back in action next weekend at the NYC Metropolitan XC Championship, hosted by Fordham at Van Cortlandt Park on Friday, October 9. The women's 5K begins at 1:30 p.m.
