Washington, D.C. – (November 18, 2025) – The Atlantic 10 Conference released its cross country All-Rookie and Academic All-Conference teams on Tuesday afternoon. Among those honored was Fordham freshman
James Stapeenbeck (Ridgewood, N.J.) who was selected to the Men's Cross Country All-Rookie Team.
The All-Rookie Team is comprised of the top seven first-year competitors at the Atlantic 10 Championship. Stappenbeck is Fordham's first All-Rookie Team selection since Steve Zucca in 2021.
Stappenbeck was the second-best freshman at the Atlantic 10 Championship behind only Dayton's Kamden Kramer. He was 24
th overall with a season-best time of 24:44.3 over the 8K championship course on November 1
st.
Earlier in the year, Stappenbeck won the Fordham Fiasco race at Van Cortlandt Park, while placing 52
nd overall at the IC4A Championship.
