Cross Country Runs at #A10XC Championship

Cedarville, Ohio – (November 1, 2025) – The Fordham cross country team competed at the 2025 Atlantic 10 Cross Country Championship on Saturday morning at the Elvin R. King Cross Country Course in Cedarville, Ohio.
 
The Rams finished ninth out of 14 teams in both the men's and women's championships.
 
MEN'S CHAMPIONSHIP

• Loyola Chicago won its third Atlantic 10 Championship in four seasons with a score of 28 points with Saint Joseph's in second at 104.
• Fordham placed ninth out of 14 teams with a score of 238 points.
• James Stappenbeck was Fordham's top runner, placing 24^th overall at 24:44.3 over the 8K course, and finished as the second-best freshman performance at the championship.
• Bradford Duchesne grabbed 39^th overall in 24:56.7 with Sean Reidy in 54^th (25:17.4), Jack Boerger in 59^th (25:23.4), and Jimmy Hernandez in 81^st (25:51.3).
• Other Rams running on Saturday were Darren Croke (95^th – 26:14.6), Nicolas Grabarz (98^th – 26:19.1), Tadael Mihret (100^th – 26:20.9), Daniel DiTunno (103^rd – 26:22.9), and John Corrigan (117^th – 26:45.9).

 
WOMEN'S CHAMPIONSHIP

• Loyola Chicago captured its fourth consecutive women's championship with a score of 51 points, followed closely by George Washington at 63.
• Fordham finished ninth out of 14 teams with a score of 234 points.
• Meredith Gotzman had the best performance for the Rams, taking 24^th overall in 21:50.1 over the 6K course, while Fabianna Szorenyi was right behind her in 29^th at 21:56.5.
• Jodie Pierce was 39^th overall in 22:09.0, followed by Sophia Oliva in 76^th (22:59.8) and Cate Roche in 77^th (23:00.9).
• Other Ram competitors at the championship were Quincy Biddle (98^th – 23:38.1), Alexis Smith (101^st – 23:46.5), and Lauren Raimy (110^th – 23:57.8).

• The Rams now get ready for the NCAA Northeast Regional on Friday, November 14^th at Hopkington Fairgrounds in Contoocook, New Hampshire.
