Montgomery, N.Y. – (September 13, 2025) – It was an early morning wake up call for the Fordham cross country team on Saturday, as the Rams took part in the Jasper Fall XC Invite, held at Twin Ponds on the Farm in Montgomery, N.Y.
 
The Rams showed well as the men were third out of 17 teams, while the women were seventh out of 17 teams.
 
MEN'S RACE
	- Fordham placed third in the team standings behind only Bucknell and Siena in the 17-team field.
 
	- Bradford Duchesne was the top Ram, taking fifth in the 8K race in a personal-best time of 24:58.8.
 
	- Jimmy Hernandez was the next Fordham runner across the line in 22nd place at 25:43.3.
 
	- The Rams had five other runners in the top 40 finishers, including Nicolas Grabarz (25th – 25:47.4), Darren Croke (30th – 25:55.5), Matthew Febles (31st – 25:55.9), Jack Boerger (35th – 26:03.1), and James Stappenbeck (37th – 26:07.0).
 
	- The remaining racers for Fordham were Anan Bauman (57th – 26:29.7), Eric Schleif (64th – 26:36.5), Tadael Mihret (65th – 26:36.7), Daniel DiTunno (71st – 26:40.9), Matthew McCabe (92nd – 27:03.1), Matthew McDevitt (108th – 27:21.4), and Will Spierdowis (151st – 28:58.9).
 
WOMEN'S RACE
	- Fordham took seventh in the team scoring, finishing behind Quinnipiac, Bucknell, Marist, Seton Hall, Fairfield, and Sacred Heart in the 17-team field.
 
	- Meredith Gotzman was the first Ram across the finish line in the 6K race in 13th place with a personal-best time of 21:45.0.
 
	- Jodie Pierce made her Fordham debut in 30th place at 22:19.8.
 
	- Sophia Katechis was the next Ram in at 23:08.0, good for 56th overall, followed by Alexis Smith (69th – 23:29.5) and Quincy Biddle (77th – 23:45.0).
 
	- The rest of the Fordham runners included Madison Collins (118th – 24:44.0), Ciara McGroary (128th – 25:03.6), and Marisa House (129th – 25:05.0).

	- The Rams have the next few weeks off from competition before returning to action on Friday, October 3rd for the Paul Short Run, hosted by Lehigh University.
