Women's ResultsThe Fordham Men's Cross Country team dominated the competition at the 35th annual Fordham Fiasco/
Ed Joyce Memorial XC Meet on Saturday morning with a combined team score of 16, while the women's team finished runner-up in the 5k.
Jonathan Annelli led a quintet of Fordham upperclassmen and two sophomores across the finish line, nearly placing one through five in the final order. Seniors
Quincy O'Connor and
Mike Turi plus sophomore
Thomas Slattery finished just after Annelli's 26:26.03 time with 26:32.25, 26:34.03 times, and 26:40.90 of their own, respectively, before Rutgers' Conor Murphy crossed a few steps ahead of
Nik O'Brien, who finished sixth with a time of 26:46.70.
Four Scarlet Knights followed O'Brien before juniors
Adam Schwenzfeier and
Jake Duckworth finished in 11th and 12th, at 27:30.23 and 27:35.37, respectively. Junior
Devin Rocks landed at 18th overall with a time of 28:52.85.
Rutgers (39), N.J.I.T. (85), and Saint Peter's (116) followed Fordham among Division I schools.
For non-DI programs, East Stroudsburg (23) finished first followed by Molloy College (72), LIU Post (73), St. Thomas Aquinas (141), N.Y.I.T. (161), Hunter College (166), Farmingdale (201), John Jay (206), Monroe College (212), Dominican (248), and Dowling (315).
For the women, it was just Brown and Fordham who filled up the top 19 spots, but the former had nine runners, led by Lucy Van Kleunen's 18:46.06 time, cross the finish line before junior Ram
Brianne Roche rounded out the top 10 with a time of 19:53.69.

Brynna Harum crossed next with a time of 20:02.68, while sophomore
Stephanie Leo finished 13th (20:12.24), junior
Shanna Heaney 14th (20:32.69), senior
Rachel Picard 15th (21:02.21), junior
Josephine Jacob-Dolan 17th (21:31.20), sophomore
Clare Bollnow 18th (21:46.03), junior
Georgeanne Siller (21:53.20) and senior
Tara Cangialosi 21st (22:22.13).
Fordham's 50 points trailed only Brown's 15, with Saint Peter's (94) and N.J.I.T. (101) rounding out Division I programs.
East Stroudsburg again took non-Division I honors with 30 points, followed by St. Thomas Aquinas (92), LIU Post (122), Southern Maine (125), Monroe College (143), Molloy College (154), N.Y.I.T. (175), Hunter College (231), Queens College (263), John Jay (271), Mount Saint Vincent (285), Farmingdale (317), Dominican (337), and Dowling (352).
Fordham returns to action on Saturday, Sept. 13, at the LIU Post Invitational in Brookville, N.Y. Races begin at 11 a.m.
