Bronx, N.Y. (August 20, 2014) – The Fordham University football squad closed out the 2014 camp tonight with its third scrimmage under the lights of Jack Coffey Field with both sides of the ball ending camp on a positive note.

Mike NebrichThe first offense scored on its first two drives with
Mike Nebrich leading the way, completing five of six passes for 60 yards on the first drive, including a 52-yard completion to
Sam Ajala over the middle which Ajala turned into a 52-yard touchdown, and all three of his pass attempts in the second drive, including a 17-yard scoring strike to
Brian Wetzel to cap the drive

Sam Ajala hauled in four passes for 73 yards on the first two drives

Peter Maetzold also had a solid game, completing three of five passes for 74 yards, including a 59-yard scoring strike to

Chase Edmonds continued his strong camp, scoring on a 42-yard run on the first series but the play was called back on a holding penalty

On the second series, Edmonds ripped off a 21-yard run and followed that with an eleven-yard reception to give the offense the ball on the 25

Michael Marando converted all four extra points and also connected on a 35-yard field goal

The first team defense held the second offense to three-and-outs on its first two drives

Jordan Chapman had a pair of pass breakups and he also had a tackle for loss

JQ Bowers and Roddy Roche also had pass breakups for the defense

The game was treated as a walk through for a regular season game, with the players wearing game jerseys and the team going through warmups as if it was a regular season game.
