BRONX, N.Y. – Though the start of spring is a few days away, no one mentioned this to Mother Nature as the temperature and wind today made it feel more like winter. But that didn't stop the Fordham football squad from holding its first practice of the spring on Murphy Field.

Joe Conlin ran the Rams through their first workout of 2026 as they prepare for the annual Spring Game which will be held on Saturday, April 18.

A few notes from the first practice:

• The returning players were joined by 13 new faces who transferred into Fordham in January:
- Tiu Afalava – A junior defensive lineman who transferred San Diego State
- Ryan Blum – A senior offensive lineman who transferred from Central Michigan
- Crew Colon – A freshman quarterback who played at Williston Northampton last fall
- Josiah Crawford – A sophomore defensive back who transferred from UAB
- William Deady – A sophomore running back who transferred from Marist
- Jovan George – A junior defensive lineman who transferred from Holy Cross
- Luke Hyan – A sophomore wide receiver who transferred from Glendale College
- Joshua Kabaka – A junior defensive back who transferred from Lake Erie College
- Jake Kucera – A junior tight end who transferred from Maine
- Mario Mancini – A sophomore offensive lineman who transferred from St. John Fisher
- Cole Morgan – A junior offensive lineman who transferred from Rice
- Johnny Schmitt  - A junior defensive back who transferred from Southern Illinois
- Riccardo Zanotti Cavazzoni – A junior wide receiver who transferred from Pace

• The practice also marked the first practice for four assistant coaches who joined the Rams this offseason:

The Rams open the 2026 season on Friday night, August 28, as they host Colgate University in a Patriot League contest at Moglia Stadium at Jack Coffey Field.
Season ticket orders are now being taken by the Fordham Ticket Office.
