2013: Appeared in all 14 games as a sophomore, starting three… finished with 26 total tackles, 19 solo… intercepted a pass that he returned 61 yards for a touchdown in the win over Rhode Island… had three assisted tackles to go with the interception against Rhode Island… also had two pass deflections, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery… made a season-high five tackles, all solo, in the win at Temple…recorded three stops, two solo, and a pass breakup in the win at Colgate… also made three stops, two solo, in the NCAA FCS playoff game at Towson.

2012: Appeared in two games as a freshman (Columbia and Georgetown).

Before Fordham: A graduate of Sylvania Southview High School in Sylvania, Ohio, where he lettered in football and track... played football for head coach James Mayzes... a First Team All-League selection at WR, DB, and Utility... also named Second Team All-District... placed seventh at the Ohio Nike SPARQ Combine... has a 38” vertical jump... accumulated 1,000 rushing yards, 1,200 receiving yards and 22 touchdowns... won the 400m at the conference track championship... played high school football with current Fordham Ram De’Nard Pinckney

Personal: Son of Julita Varner and Percy Bowers... has three siblings (Jamelle, Ja’Datian and Ja’Quan)... majoring in Biology.
