Women's Results The Fordham cross country teams were at Schenley Park in Pittsburgh on Saturday for the first Atlantic 10 Championship of the season. The Rams would finish 10
th out of 14 teams in the men's competition, and 11
th out of 14 teams on the women's side.
The day opened with the women's 5K championship, which saw Duquesne win their second straight Atlantic 10 Championship with a score of 58 points. The Dukes finished with four competitors in the top 20, three of which were in the top ten.
La Salle finished second with 111 points, followed by Richmond in third (112), Saint Louis in fourth (131), and Davidson, who rounded out the top five (133). Massachusetts led the rest of the field in sixth place with 134 points, followed by George Mason (203), Rhode Island (225), Dayton (242), George Washington (254), Fordham (272), St. Bonaventure (287), Saint Joseph's (321), and VCU (352).
La Salle's Morgan Szekely was the individual winner with a time of 17:31.2.
For Fordham,
Brianna Tevnan was the first Ram across the line in 20
th position at the 5K race in 18:27.3.
Mara Lieberman was the next Ram across in 55
th place (19:13.5), followed by
Ariana Bottalico, who scored in 60
th place (19:18.5).
Brynna Harum scored 66
th overall (19:31.5) with
Sarah Glockenmeier (71
st – 19:38.8) and
Brianne Roche (72
nd – 19:39.6) right behind her.

In the men's 8K championship, the George Mason Patriots won Atlantic 10 title with a score of 50 points. The Patriots finished with three of the top five finishers and five finishers in the top 23 to bring home George Mason's first cross country championship.
Duquesne finished second with 64 points, followed by Saint Joseph's in third (100), Saint Louis in fourth (119), and Davidson in fifth (144). Richmond led the rest of the field in sixth with 161 points, followed by Massachusetts (171), Dayton (187), La Salle (196), Fordham (202), George Washington (340), VCU (340), Rhode Island (345), and St. Bonaventure (438).
Saint Joseph's Rad Gunzenhauser was the individual winner with a time of 24:33.6.
For Fordham,
Quincy O'Connor earned All-Atlantic 10 honors by finishing in the top 15, as he was 13
th overall in 24:56.2. He is the fourth Ram to earn All-Atlantic 10 honors, joining
Jonathan Annelli (2013), Julian Saad (2011), and Matthew Flynn (2004).
The Rams just missed getting two more runners in the top 25, as
Thomas Slattery and
Mike Turi finished 26
th and 27
th, respectively in 25:29.0 and 25:30.0.
