Reidy, Gotzman Lead Way for Cross Country at Stony Brook Season Opener

Stony Brook, N.Y. – (August 30, 2025) – The Fordham cross country teams got their 2025 campaign underway on Saturday morning at the Stony Brook Season Opener.  The men's team finished second out of seven squads in the 6K race, while the women were third out of six in the 4K race.
 
MEN'S RACE

• Sean Reidy led all Ram runners with a fourth place finish, running 19:27.2 over the 6K course
• Bradford Duchesne was eighth overall in 19:36.6 with Darren Croke in 16^th at 19:53.3
• Jack Boerger (19^th - 19:59.1), Nicolas Grabarz (26^th – 20:19.1), Matthew Febles (29^th - 20:22.3), and Will Spierdowis (66^th – 21:54.9) rounded out the Ram runners.

 
WOMEN'S RACE

• Meredith Gotzman posted the top time in the 4K race for Fordham at 14:26.9, good for fourth overall
• Fabianna Szorenyi was 14^th overall in her Ram debut at 14:48.4
• Sophia Oliva (23^rd – 15:13.5), Lauren Raimy (25^th – 15:18.7), Grace Kenny (28^th – 15:35.7), and Alexis Smith (45^th – 16:04.4) finished out the Ram runners

• The Rams will host the annual Fordham Fiasco at Van Cortlandt Park on Saturday, September 6^th.
