Washington, D.C. – (May 21, 2025) – The Atlantic 10 Conference announced its End-of-Year Awards for the 2025 baseball season on Wednesday, as four Rams were honored by the league for their performance on the field and in the classroom.
Freshmen
Taylor Kirk (Long Beach, Calif.) and
Anthony Grabau (Lynnfield, Mass.) were both named to the Atlantic 10 All-Rookie Team in a vote of the league's coaches, while graduate student
Andrew Kanellis (Leland, N.C.) and senior
Gannon Brady (Ocean City, N.J.) were selected to the Academic All-Conference Team in a vote of the league's sports information directors.
For Fordham, this is the second time in three seasons that the Rams have multiple All-Rookie Team selections, as
Tommy McAndrews and
Daniel Bucciero received the honor in 2023. Overall, this is the seventh time since 2011 with multiple All-Rookie Team selections for the Rams (2011, 2014, 2016-18, 2023, 2025). On the academic side, it is the first time since 2017 that Fordham had multiple picks and fifth time overall (2004, 2015-17, 2025).
Kirk has had an impressive rookie campaign as the Rams' leadoff hitter and starting second baseman. During the regular season, he started all 55 games he appeared in, finishing as the team leader in hits (75) and triples (3), while being second on the squad in batting average (.344), runs scored (53) and stolen bases (30). In conference play, Kirk led Fordham with a .367 batting average with 31 runs scored, 22 RBI, and 18 stolen bases.
Grabau took over as the Rams' starting shortstop halfway through the season, making 30 starts in 47 games played. He added extra power to the heart of the Rams' order, placing third on the team with seven home runs, while adding seven doubles, 27 RBI, and six stolen bases. In Atlantic 10 play, Grabau finished with five home runs and 23 RBI.
Brady was selected to the Academic All-Conference Team for the second straight season. A Finance major with a concentration in Alternative Investments, he is a former CSC Academic All-District selection and a three-year member of the Atlantic 10 Commissioner's Honor Roll. At the annual Block F Awards, Brady was the recipient of Fordham's Dean Harter Award for athletic and academic excellence. On the mound, he tied for the team lead in appearances (21) in 2025, posting a 1-1 record with a save and 14 strikeouts.
Kanellis, a graduate student studying Finance, is also a former member of the Atlantic 10 Commissioner's Honor Roll. He is having a career year for the Rams in 2025, leading the team in batting average (.351), on-base percentage (.447), home runs (8), and RBI (50). In the final game of the regular season, he became the first Ram with 50 RBI in a season since Chris Walker in 2010.
