Mason Dean and
Ernie Little each drove in four runs, while
Tommy McAndrews and
Joey Donnelly each had four hits and three RBI, as the Fordham Rams downed, the St. Bonaventure Bonnies, 21-2, at Fred Handler Park.
THE GAME
- Fordham quickly started the scoring with a single run in the first on an RBI-single from Joey Donnelly.
- The Rams made it 2-0 in the second, when Tim Ford rocketed a solo home run to left, his first of the season.
- After a solo home run by St. Bonaventure, the Rams answered with a three-run home run by Mason Dean to right field for a 5-1 lead.
- In the fourth inning, Anthony Grabau recorded a two-run double with Donnelly adding an RBI-double for an 8-1 edge.
- The fifth inning saw a two-run single by Ernie Little to put Fordham ahead, 10-1.
- After another two runs in the sixth, Fordham piled on the offense in the seventh with an eight-run outburst for a 20-2 lead.
- The Rams finished the scoring with a final run in the ninth for the 21-2 final score.
GAME NOTES
- Aidan Dowd improved to 3-4 on the season, allowing two runs on four hits over six innings of work with two strikeouts.
- Ryan Egan, Alec Murray, and Will Vieira closed out the game with a single inning of scoreless relief each.
- Dean finished the game 4-for-6 with a home run, two runs scored, and four RBI, while Little ended up 3-for-4 with two runs scored and four RBI.
- Tommy McAndrews was 4-for-7 with two doubles and three RBI with Joey Donnelly ending up 4-for-5 with a double and three RBI.
- Ford finished 3-for-4 with three runs scored, a home run, and two RBI with Grabau going 2-for-4 with four runs scored and three RBI.
