Washington, D.C. – (May 22, 2024) – The Atlantic 10 Conference announced its Baseball All-Conference Teams and Awards on Wednesday morning, as three Fordham Rams earned accolades. Sophomore
Daniel Bucciero (Ridgefield, Conn.) was named Second Team All-Atlantic 10 with freshman
Aidan Dowd (Fairfield, Conn.) earning a spot on the All-Rookie Team. Additionally, junior
Gannon Brady (Ocean City, N.J.) was selected to the All-Academic Team.
Bucciero had another stellar campaign for the Rams, starting all 52 games at third base. The sophomore batted .310 for the season, setting career-highs in doubles (15), home runs (9), RBI (36), and stolen bases (17). He also led the Rams with 19 multi-hit games and 11 multi-RBI contests. In league play, Bucciero was a dominant force, hitting .374 with 23 runs scored, seven doubles, nine home runs, 26 RBI, and 10 stolen bases.
Dowd was selected to the All-Rookie Team after serving as the Rams #2 starting pitcher. He ended the season, starting 14 of the 15 games he appeared in, recording a 3.77 ERA and 49 strikeouts in 45.1 innings of work. He also held opponents to a .227 batting average for the season.
Brady, a Finance major with a 3.98 GPA, was one of Fordham's most called upon relievers in 2024. He made 22 appearances, earning two wins to go with 18 strikeouts in 25.2 innings of work. In league action, he made nine relief appearances, recording a 1.78 ERA and .211 opponent batting average.
